The river is in excellent shape in all sections and our customers are having a ball
catching large numbers of trout and it includes some very big ones. Conditions
are good and should remain good all the coming week. There are good BWO

There is a chance of rain ending today for the next week. Highs will range from 51
to 64 degrees and lows from 36 to 43 degrees.

Recommended Trout Flies:
Strategies, Techniques and Tips:
The Black Matuka and Olive Matuka Sculpin are good flies to use for the larger
trout. The Brown sculpin and White Belly sculpin streamers are great flies to
use at this time. Scuds and sowbugs are available year-round.
Various species of Blue-winged olives will hatch off and on this winter. Fish the
nymphs in the morning, emergers and duns when hatching and spinners late
Midges are always important insects to imitate on the Bighorn.
Green Sedges, or caddisflies, are starting to hatch.
Spotted Sedges, or caddisflies, are starting to hatch.
Mahogany duns are hatching.
Terrestrials, such as ants, beetles and hoppers, will soon be important.
