Clearwater River, Idaho - Fishing Report - July 20, 2017
The stream levels in the lower river and North Fork are down near normal levels and
the water clear. There are lots of trout being caught and we continue to get good
reports from our customers. There are still a lot of insects hatching.

Blue-winged olives are hatching. Some areas have good concentrations of various
species of blue-winged olive nymphs and fishing an imitation of them is an alternative
strategy. Salmonflies are hatching. Golden Stoneflies are hatching.
Green Sedges, or caddisflies, and Spotted Sedges, or caddisflies, are hatching.
Pale Morning duns are hatching.
Little Yellow stoneflies are hatching.
Terrestrials, such as carpenter ants, Japanese beetles and hoppers may be important at
times.
