The stream levels are normal and conditions otherwise are good. There are lots
of Blue-winged olive hatches taking place. The weather continues to be mild with
little rain in the forecast. It is a good time to fish the North Platte.
7 Day Weather Forecast: There is a chance of rain on Saturday, otherwise
clear for the next week. The highs will range from 60 to 69 degrees and lows
from 36 to 42 degrees.

Black Matuka and Olive Matuka Sculpin, size 4/6
Brown Sculpin and White Belly Sculpin, size 6
Blue-winged Olives, size 16/18, nymphs, emergers, duns and spinners
Green Sedge, 14/16, larva, pupa and adults

Strategies, Techniques and Tips:
Brown Sculpin and White Belly Sculpin are great streamers to use at this time. The Black
Matuka Sculpin and Olive Matuka Sculpin streamers are good flies to use for the larger
size trout. Fish them in low light conditions.
Various species of Blue-winged olive nymphs are hatching.
Green Sedges, or caddisflies, are hatching.
Spotted Sedges, or caddisflies, are hatching.
Mahogany duns are hatching.
October Caddis are hatching.
Terrestrials insects, such as carpenter ants, Japanese beetles and grass hopper will soon
become important trout food.
