The discharges and stream flow levels are down to a good level for wading
some places and drift boats. There are good hatches taking place.
7 Day Weather Forecast: There is a chance of rain everyday for the next
week. Highs will range from 55 to 79 degrees and lows from 36 to 44 degrees.
Recommended Trout Flies:
Blue-winged Olives: size 16/18, nymph, emergers, duns and spinners
Midges: Blood (Red), sizes 20/22, larva, pupa and adults
Midges: Light Green, size 20/22, larva, pupa and adults
Midges: Cream, size 20/22, larva pupa and adults
Black Matuka and Olive Matuka Sculpin, size 4/6
Brown Sculpin, White Belly Sculpin and Articulated streamers, size 6/4

Strategies, Techniques and Tips:
The White Belly, Brown Sculpin and Articulated streamers are good flies to use for the
larger size trout. The Black Matuka and Olive Matuka sculpin streamers are also good
flies to use for the larger fish.
Midges, cream, light green and red or blood midges are plentiful. Fish the larva and
pupa in tandem.
Blue Winged Olives hatch on warm, cloudy days.
Spotted sedge caddis are hatching.
Pale Morning Duns are hatching.
Little Yellow stoneflies are hatching.
Carpenter ants, Jap beetles and hoppers are also working.
