Stream levels are high, too high to wade safely, but falling. The water is warm
enough for the trout to be active in most sections. Blue-winged olives and scuds are
the main foods to imitate but Quill Gordons, Blue Quills, and little Black (Apple)
caddis are starting to hatch.

clearing for the next week but Friday. Highs will range from 43 to 60 and lows from
31 to 39 degrees.

Strategies, Techniques and Tips:
Our Brown Sculpin and White Belly sculpin are great flies for the entire fall and winter seasons.
The Olive Matuka Sculpin and Black Matuka Sculpin are good flies to use at this time.
Scuds are available for the trout to eat year-round. So are sowbugs.
Fish the larva and pupa in tandem for the best results.

LIttle Black, or Apple caddis, are starting to hatch.
