The river is still in good shape with discharges and stream levels that makes it easy
to wade. Blue-winged olives and Cream and Red midges are hatching good.
Anglers are catching good numbers of trout. The water is a little warmer in the
upper sections but okay in all sections.
7 Day Weather Forecast: There is a chance of rain from Monday through
Thursday, otherwise clear. Highs will range from 49 to 59 degrees and lows from 30
to 47 degrees.
Recommended Trout Flies:
Midges Red and Cream, size 20/22, larva, pupa and adults
Brown Sculpin and White Belly Sculpin, size 6
Sowbugs: size 16
Blue-winged Olives: size 18 and 20, nymphs, emergers, duns, and spinners
Cinnamon Caddis, size 16/18, larva, pupa and adults
Midges: Blood (Red), sizes 20/22, larva, pupa and adults

Strategies, Techniques and Tips:
Scuds and sowbugs are plentiful all year.
Brown Sculpin and White Belly Sculpin streamers are excellent flies to use the entire fall
and winter season.
Various species of Blue-winged Olives hatch, mostly on cloudy, overcast days.
Cinnamon Sedges, or caddis, are hatching.
Midges, creams, light greens, blood midges or reds are hatching and will get more and
more important as the water gets colder.
