Dukes Creek - Gear, Tackle and Flies
We recommend either a 4, 5 and 6 weight fly lines for Dukes Creek in Georgia. You only
need a floating fly line.
Leaders should range in sizes from a 0X for streamers up to a 6X for midges and small dry
flies. Lengths ranging from seven and one-half feet up to 12 feet are suggested.
We suggest that you have extra tippet material in sizes ranging from 0X to 6X.
We think the fly rods should have a moderately fast to fast action and be nine feet in length.
The fly reels for the 4, 5 and 6 weight fly lines should be light and have a good smooth
drags. We think disc drags are the best.
There are a few areas you will be able to fish without waders but you will need them most
We recommend felt soles for your wading boots.
A wading staff would be purely optional.
A landing net is another optional item.

have specific imitations of every food that exist in Dukes Creek. If you haven't already tried
