Fly Fishing Gear, Tackle and Trout Flies - Millers River
If you fish for the native brook trout in the headwaters you may want a 4 weight floating fly
line. There are some large brown trout in the Millers River.
We recommend either a 4, 5 and 6 weight fly lines. You only need a floating fly line most of
the time but you may want a sinking tip or sinking line to fish the still water ponds, especially
during cold weather.
We recommend either a 4, 5 or 6 weight fly rod for the respective line size you choose to use.
The fly rods should be nine feet long and in a medium fast to fast action.
The fly reel used should be for each of the 4, 5 and 6 weight lines you use and each have a

We recommend our "Perfect Flies" because they are the best trout flies you can purchase.
We feel like our specific imitations of mayflies, stoneflies, caddisflies, and midges are the best
flies you can purchase. We have specific imitations of everything that hatches in the Millers
River. Our streamers are also very effective on large brown trout. If you haven't already done
so, we hope you will give them a try.
