Fly Fishing Gear, Tackle and Trout Flies - West Canada Creek New

Fly Line:
The fly line we recommend for fly fishing West Canada Creek is a 4 or 5 weight floating line.
For nymphs and streamers we prefer a 6 weight fly line.

Fly Rod:
The fly rod should be a 4, 5 or 6 weight, respective to the line size, in a medium to medium fast
action. We prefer a length of 9 feet.  .

Leader for trout should be tapered and range from seven and a half to twelve feet long. They
should range from a 0X up to a 6X size.

You want to carry plenty of extra tippet material ranging in sizes from 0X up to 6X.

Waders are necessary for fly fishing West Canada Creek. We prefer the breathable type. You
may want to have neoprene waders in the Winter months.

Wading Boots:
Wading boots can currently have either felt or rubber soles.

Landing Net:
A landing net is purely optional but recommended. There's some large trout in this stream. .

We recommend "Perfect Fly" Trout Flies. We have a huge selection in a wide price range. The
trout flies are not only as realistic as you will find, they are the most effective at catching trout.
Our imitations of specific species of mayfly nymphs emergers, duns and spinners are very
effective. We also have a large selection of generic and attractor flies.
